In order to be admitted to the MSc in Materials and Nanotechnology, candidates must have earned during their BSc:

  • A minimum of 12 cfu (teaching credits) in Mathematics. The corresponding SSD (Settori Scientifico Disciplinari), according to the the Italian rules, are: MAT/02 (MATH-02/A), MAT/03 (MATH-02/B), MAT/05 (MATH-03/A), MAT/06 (MATH-03/B), MAT/07 (MATH-04/A), MAT/08 (MATH-05/A), MAT/09 (MATH-06/A).
  • A minimum of 6 cfu in Physics, corresponding to FIS/01-08 (PHYS-01/A-06/B).
  • A minimum of 12 cfu in disciplines pertaining to Chemistry, Physics, and Industrial and Materials Engineering, corresponding to CHIM/02-05 (CHEM-02/A-04/A), CHIM/07 (CHEM-06/A), FIS/01 (PHYS-01/A), FIS/03 (PHYS-03/A), ICAR/08 (CEAR-06/A), ING-IND/16 (IIND-04/A), ING-IND/21 (IIND-03/C), ING-IND/22 (IMAT-01/A), ING-IND/23 (ICHI-01/A), ING-IND/24 (ICHI-01/B), ING-IND/27 (ICHI-01/B).

The requirements above are automatically fulfilled for students who have earned a BSc in Ingegneria dell'Informazione (L-8), Ingegneria Industriale (L-9), Scienze e Tecnologie Chimiche (L-27), Fisica (L-30) at the University of Pisa.

The minimal requirements for students educated abroad will be assessed by the Selection Committee upon analysis of the curriculum vitae and the transcript of records uploaded by the candidates along with their application.

Students not verifying the minimal requirements may still be admitted to the Master Degree by the Selection Committee, provided they fulfill the requirements above in specific courses (corsi di transizione) at the University of Pisa, to be identified according to the specific needs.
